You’re about to head home for the Christmas holidays, and if you don’t own a vehicle, or your car doesn’t have a tow ball, then getting your stuff to a lock up is not so easy. We bring the Storage 2u mobile/portable storage unit right to your flat, and you can pack it at your leisure (as you may still be in exams), or we can help you pack the unit. If we help to pack, this is highly affordable, give us a call to find out more.
It’s ok to share with a friend to keep the cost down, even if they aren’t in the same flat we make it work.
When you return back to Canterbury in February, we deliver the unit to your new flat or to wherever you need.
We understand price is important to all our students. We offer a special student discount off our regular storage rates when paid in advance for the 3 months over the holidays, saving you money on storage and saving you having to pay your flat rental fees.
You can pay by credit card or internet banking from the invoice. Many students ask us to forward the invoice to their parents, who kindly help them out with payment.
You’ll likely need a 10 pack (10 cubic metre). This is our mid-sized unit and perfect for typical secure self-storage for students.

Our student storage services run on the uni calendar, not a depot’s opening hours. Pick a delivery date that suits your last exam, pack between study sessions, and we’ll collect the unit once you’ve handed back the flat keys. Flatting in Ilam or Riccarton, or out at Lincoln? We deliver to both, and our Blenheim Road depot is a short drive from the Ilam campus. Heading overseas or up north for the whole break? Leave us your February address and the unit will be waiting when you get back.
Most student storage Christchurch students look at assumes you have a car and a trailer. Ours doesn’t, which is the whole point of student summer storage that comes to you. You won’t lose a day of summer driving boxes back from a lock-up, either.
How It Works
Step 1
We deliver Storage2u portable / mobile storage unit/s and packing supplies to your home or flat. We park the unit where you want on your property for your easy loading at your convenience.
Step 2
When you are ready, we will pick up the loaded Storage2u mobile unit and take it to our 24/7 security monitored, temperature controlled, indoor storage depot for the summer break.
Step 3
We will hold on to the Storage unit for you — when you want it back, give us a call and we will deliver your mobile storage unit back to you for unpacking — or ask if you would like our team to help you.

The units are made of wood, locked and stored in a central warehouse which no one enters except Nick, and Tim our operations manager. The warehouse is alarmed, with camera surveillance and our gate is locked and monitored.
Absolutely yes. Our delivery times are arranged to suit you. We do however try to avoid weekend deliveries, because we have family commitments on the weekends.
You can order today and expect delivery tomorrow, or whenever you would like the unit.
No, you don’t. As long as we have clear instructions, you don’t have to be home at all.
Our smallest unit, the 6 Pack, suits boxes, a bike and a desk chair or two. Splitting a 10 Pack with a mate is one of the cheaper student storage solutions, and it doesn’t matter if you’re in different flats.
As early as you can. We only have a limited number of 10 Packs and demand picks up once exams get close. Booking in September or October gives you the best shot at the dates you want.
